About Moody's Masterpiece
Born in Portland, Maine my parents moved to Long Island, NY and then to Connecticut where I grew up. My father was a Commercial Artist in NYC. I received my formal training from Paier College of Art in New Haven, Connecticut. Further training with the Wooster Community Arts Center studying with Albert Werner and later with Janice Papayani. I have exhibited my work at banks, libraries, town halls, and art shows in the New England area, including the Richter Arts Center, Danbury, Connecticut, and Newtown's Society of Cultural Arts also in Connecticut. Local art shows in Portland, Maine as well as Saco, Cape Elizabeth, Biddeford, Old Orchard, Buxton, and Kennebunkport, Maine. Worked for Mare's Nest in Newtown, Connecticut for five years painting cut out wooden fire board which were advertised in national cataglogs including Nieman Marcus, Horchow, and the Mole Hole. My work has been sold in fine specialty shops throughout the country which included Outdoor Traders of Greenwich & Litchfield, Connecticut. Melangerie of Palm Beach, Florida, Caldwell Alexander of Hampton Beach, LI, NY. Charles Faudree' of Oklahoma City, OK. and Cache Cache of Madison Ave. NYC. I have also taught oil and watercolor classes, painted murals as well as backdrops for concerts and plays.
Having the opportunity to move back to Maine fourteen years ago, I have pursued my art career full time and have my studio in my home in Buxton, Maine doing free lance work.
